Building Butterflies

Age Group: 10 to 16 years

During our Building Butterflies workshops, we encourage children to work with recycled materials and transform them into other objects. Our sessions are engaging, fun and informative as we learn about the properties of the materials used.  This workshop is delivered in English as a way of practicing and consolidating acquired language.

Each session includes two or three crafts and we usually plan them as monthly themed, for example, for Spring we create flowers, blossoms, bees, etc. Whenever possible we use recyclable materials such as egg cartons and toilet paper rolls. All our paint is non-toxic.

At the end of the workshop you can take your creation home. Join us in this amazing experience of creating while improving and learning English!

Ana claims that ever since she can remember she’s always had a colouring pencil or paintbrush in her hand. She loves creating and making something new and beautiful with her own hands, and then, smiling about it, she starts feeling good about her new creation.
