Young Learners Cambridge

Introduction to every-day spoken and written English, helping increase confidence and motivation levels so children can communicate and develop their English skills.

The Cambridge exams have a written format and take into account familiar topics that highlight necessary competencies for successful communication.

At BLC we will prepare your children for the Cambridge exam focusing on the contents developed by the Cambridge programme, but whenever possible we will inject playful elements to the learning experience, as we believe that children learn better when they learn as they play.

Teens Cambridge Courses

PET – level B1

The PET courses demonstrate that a student has acquired key English language skills and has developed linguistic competencies that allow fluency of day-to-day communication. At this level, students can read simple texts and articles in English, can write letters, e-mails and short stories about everyday topics and develop their comprehension of factual information whilst being able to express their opinion about the subjects on discussion.

The topics discussed are generally of the students’ own interest or about general culture; independent research is encouraged with a view to provide opportunities for students to present the results of their work to their peers.

The objective of this course is to prepare the students to take the Cambridge PET Exam, however, as we strive to inspire and motivate our students at all levels, our courses contain a strong hands-on and playful component.

FCE – level B2 First

The B2 First certification prove that students have acquired the necessary language skills to live and work in a English-speaking country or are apt to attend university courses taught in English.

This is one of the most recognised Cambridge courses as it is accepted by thousands of businesses and universities worldwide.

During the course, students learn how to communicate effectively, are encouraged to express their opinion regarding diverse topics on discussion and present suitable arguments to defend their point of view. At this level, students’ writing skills are given special attention so that the work presented is clear, detailed and include a wide range of vocabulary and grammar.
The topics addressed during our sessions are always pertinent, real and of general or personal interest. We aim to work in a relaxed and informal manner, giving students the opportunity to put into practice their acquired knowledge.
